Master Teacher

Hello Class,
                        My name is Mrs.Frerich!

...and I'm now a MASTER teacher!  ...HA!  Yeah...just kidding! I used to teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra I in both Arizona and Oklahoma. I graduated from Western Governors University TWICE! I graduated in May 2018 with a B.A. in Mathematics, and then again in January

I am married to a fantastic gentleman named Hunter whom I met at A&P school, and we now have two crazy kiddos, Selene and Leon. When we get a little free time (my husband and I both work A LOT), we like to go do anything outdoors-y. We LOVE taking the littles to the zoo whenever we get a chance, and we are HUGE nerds! We play video games together, love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and anime/manga. So yeah...pretty nerdy up in our house lol

2021 with a an M.A. in Mathematics Education for Middle Grades. So, yeah, I'm a WGU Night Owl through and through. Before taking the jump into teaching, I actually went to Tulsa Technology Center to get an

Airframe and Powerplant certification (in layman's terms, I went to school to be an aircraft mechanic), and hope to eventually get my pilot's license, so I have aviation in my blood, too. While I have a heart for education, aviation is where I'm currently dabbling.

they'll use in life. While I'm not a teacher anymore, I still actively believe that math should be that way. Although my current focus is aviation, I still believe that I have work to do in fixing some of the many issues facing mathematics education, and really education in general. I want to make a difference and create people who are active, critical thinkers. So, I know the job's not finished yet...

Everything else? Well, I'm discovering the Mayhem as I go! ;)

As far as teaching...well...my life has really changed around from when I started this blog. I'm a lifelong learner. I wanted to strive to become a master of classroom management, and ideally to teach my students not just about math, but about life and having good character. My goal wasn't really to teach kids math specifically, but to teach them problem solving, which is the real thing

Love it? Hate it? Let me know!
